300598 GTPasen: Struktur und Funktionen

Inhalt: In dieser Vorlesung werden die Regulationsmechanismen von GTPasen (Ras, Ras-ähnliche wie ARF oder Ran, heterotrimere GTPasen, Elongationsfaktoren, etc.) besprochen und zu den Strukturen der Proteine (so vorhanden) in Beziehung gesetzt. Die Wechselwirkung mit den verschiedenen Effektoren, mit den Aktivierungsproteinen (GAP) und den Austauschfaktoren (GEF) und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Konformation der GTPasen und die Hydrolyse des GTP werden mit Hilfe der Originalliteratur besprochen. Die Vorlesung ist für fortgeschrittene Studenten der Studienzweige Biochemie, Genetik oder Mikrobiologie gedacht, setzt Grundkenntnisse auf diesen Fachgebieten voraus, und kann aus einem großen Kreis von Spezialvorlesungen für diese Studienzweige gewählt werden. Etwa 5-10 Hörer pro Semester.
